Imagine a cup of tea that doesn't obey the laws of physics, it pours out of the bottom of your cup while crawling up the sides to the top, and you'll have a pretty good picture of the ultracold phenomena of superfluids.

Wait if the superfluid never stops spinning does that mean there’s the potential for infinite energy?

So in simpler words helium-4 matter on the atomic level doesn't behave like normal matter anymore when the atoms kenetic energy is depleted enough. Then on the quantum level the quarks that make up the neucleons in the atoms of the helium then begin to act as bosons rather than fermions, which allows the fermions to bipass the Paulie exclusion principle making the helium act really weird, more weird than a non-newtonian fluid. This transformation of the heliums fermion's actions causes the entropy within the helium to be non-existant and force the heliums kenetic energy to behave in a unified way. And then you have a superfluid.

The problem is, this is not reproducible, this experiment has not been reproduced since the 60s and there is no modern footage of this phenomenon. Many think that this was just a fluke rather than a true quantum mechanical event on macro scale.

I wonder what would happen if someone took a container of superfluid Helium-4 and compressed it. I'd assume that at least some of it would escape through the usual cracks... but would this compression reheat the superfluid helium, and what would happen? Would it stop behaving like a superfluid? Would the container explode apart, or would the superfluid just all squirt out like a tank of water with a hole in the bottom?
